A cat owner from the district of Krems (Lower Austria) had to have both cats removed. Despite several mishaps where the cats fell out of the second-story window, she didn’t put any safety devices on her windows.
A cat owner from the Krems region has been targeted by the authorities. Two cats that had fallen out of the woman’s window on the second floor had to be taken away from her. The caretaker had not put in place adequate safety measures to prevent the cats from falling, although unfortunately this type of incident has happened more than once.
The woman is simply unwilling or unable to secure her windows accordingly,” the authorities in the capital said. An observant neighbor witnessed the latest terrible accident and immediately reported it. The velvet paws were then taken from the woman and taken to the Krems animal shelter for care. In addition, a criminal case has now been started against the woman. “Unfortunately, similar cases are not that rare,” says the office of the liberal animal protection councilor Susanne Rosenkranz when asked.
