Further mobilization? – It’s in Putin’s secret war document

Date:

A recent report by a Russian Armed Forces official provides an in-depth insight into Moscow’s numerous problems and failures in the war in Ukraine. The document was immediately deleted shortly after its publication – it is therefore reasonable to assume that it was never intended to become public. However, it is still available in the Internet Archive.

The main focus of the document is on the recruitment of new soldiers and the formation of new units. The Russian independent internet newspaper “The Insider” took a closer look at the report and compiled an overview.

Opposition is partially heard
According to this, the Russian army would face great difficulties because part of society does not want to go to war. Internet bloggers are responsible for this, who would exert “information pressure”.

Against the background of the already tense situation, it is of course unpleasant for the Kremlin that, despite all efforts to defend itself, critical voices and information occasionally reach the people and are listened to – and these are not at all in line with the twisted and embellished posts that the official site offers. That is why Moscow wants to draw more registers in the future and conduct raids on conscripts.

All conscripts must be included
In its control mania, the Russian War Ministry has now built a database of 31.6 million people, it is said. 2.9 million of them are of military age. Authorities are currently said to be collecting mobile phone numbers and email addresses from them. However, as things stand, Russia is unlikely to be able to summon them all, as the Kremlin has great difficulty supplying its soldiers with weapons and other equipment. Sent forward to fight at the front are security company employees.

Experts assume that the Kremlin is preparing for further waves of mobilization. Such moves are a balancing act, however, as the country faces upheaval if the arc is crossed astride. The elite therefore tries to postpone the general mobilization as long as possible or to carry it out under the guise of “partial mobilization”.

Great plans
To maintain the appearance that everything is in order, Russia has big plans for 2023. The General Staff wants to establish a new army, an army corps, five divisions and 26 brigades. A new military district on the Sea of Azov is expected to bring additional benefits.

Partial mobilization never completed
The partial mobilization announced in Russia on September 21 has never officially ended. The convocation can now also be sent electronically and is deemed to have been delivered whether it has reached the recipient or not. Video surveillance systems are also in use in the Russian capital Moscow, which track down those who evade conscription. They are so advanced that they can even recognize people with motorcycle helmets.
