On Tuesday evening, a dangerous argument broke out between a receptionist (33) and a guest (21) in a hotel in Vienna-Landstrasse. The employee wanted to stab the guest with a letter opener.
The 21-year-old wanted to check in with a tourist at 1 a.m. When the 33-year-old demanded money for the room, an argument broke out. The two men attacked each other and the attack with the letter opener followed. As a spokesperson for the State Police Directorate announced, the attempt remained the same.
Both injured
The receptionist is a Bangladeshi man, the tourist’s companion is an Afghan and the woman is from Thailand. “The 21-year-old and the tourist told police they were friends,” the spokesman said. Both sides were injured in the fistfight.
The officers provisionally arrested them, both were later set free.
