A shocking case was published by the Tyrolean police on Wednesday! According to this, a Romanian (34) is suspected of three years of abuse, rape and forced prostitution of a 21-year-old woman in Innsbruck. The handcuffs already clicked in March. The man is currently in custody.
In Romania, a love affair arose three years ago between the alleged perpetrator and the 21-year-old. She was lured to Austria under false pretenses and illegally prostituted in Innsbruck. The Romanian also had a legal job as a cleaner.
The 34-year-old received all of his victim’s income. “He had complete control over her account.”
Perpetrator in custody, victim returned to home country
But that’s not all: as it turned out during the investigation, “the woman was regularly assaulted and possibly threatened to force her to continue working as a prostitute”. The alleged perpetrator is also suspected of raping the 21-year-old several times.
In February of this year, the woman went to the police and filed a report. The handcuffs for the 34-year-old clicked on March 1. “He is currently in custody,” it concludes. The 21-year-old is back in her home country.
