A drone loaded with explosives crashed into a residential building in the Russian city of Voronezh. Three people have been injured so far.
Voronezh is located 490 kilometers from the Russian capital Moscow. It is about 300 kilometers from Voronezh to the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. On the morning of June 9, residents of Voronezh reported an explosion. Later, photos of a damaged house surfaced.
The Telegram channel “Ransche vsjech. Nu potschti” (“Faster than everyone else. Well, almost”) states that the drone was shot down and then crashed into the building. In turn, the Telegram channel “Baza” writes that the plane has lost altitude and, as a result, overtook the house.
Russia sees Ukraine as the brain
Regional governor Alexander Gusev reported that three people were injured by splinters. A state of emergency has been declared in the region. The domestic secret service FSB and employees of the Ministry of Disaster Management are on site. According to Russian media, the target of the drone would be an aircraft factory.
Russian authorities are now investigating “terror” and suspect Ukraine is behind the attack.
Fights are getting fiercer
Russia began its offensive war against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, bringing death and destruction to the country and occupying countless territories. The fighting had intensified significantly in recent days. Russian border regions such as Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk also complained about increased shelling.
