A young man was attacked by several people in the center of Vienna on Saturday night. They stabbed him in the back before fleeing.
A large contingent of the Viennese police is looking for the perpetrators. The search has so far been fruitless. The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said on Saturday.
The act was committed around 3 a.m. at the “Floating Gardens” at the Kaiserbadschleuse on the Danube Canal. There were no direct witnesses. The victim received emergency medical attention from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service and was then taken to hospital.
There was no danger to life. The man was reachable but had no ID with him. His identity has yet to be established. He hasn’t been questioned yet.
