Boy denies act – full beer cans thrown at pensioner in Vienna

Date:

A 73-year-old woman is said to have been thrown at two full cans of beer in Vienna-Liesing on Saturday. The suspect, a 15-year-old boy, strongly denies the allegations. Viennese police are now investigating attempted grievous bodily harm.

Plainclothes police observed him around 6:30 p.m. in the presence of three youths from the fourth floor of a parking garage on Liesinger Platz, who apparently deliberately threw two 0.5 liter cans at the woman and just missed her.

Dude wouldn’t know about beer cans
According to the police, the young person should not have known about the beer cans. During the interrogation by the officers, the 15-year-old referred to his friends, according to the Vienna state police. The quartet fled Saturday night after the crime.

But officials from the Anti-Street Crime Task Force (EGS) arrested the 15-year-old and his friends a short time later. The teen is now under investigation for attempted grievous bodily harm. Fortunately, the pensioner was unharmed.
