Large-scale fire brigade action on Wednesday evening in Innsbruck! At Viller Berg, a former and now vacant pension went up in flames. Dozens of emergency services battled the inferno for hours. No one was injured. The cause of the fire is still unclear.

The fire in the “ghost guest house” broke out shortly before midnight. Two passers-by saw the fire and immediately raised the alarm. “The flames spread from the roof construction to other parts of the building,” the police said.

Igler Strasse was completely closed for two hours
The fire inferno presented the emergency services with major challenges. “Due to the limited water supply in the area of ​​the burning object, the fire brigade had to set up a shuttle service, which is why Igler Straße had to be completely closed for about two hours,” the detectives continue.

Investigation into the cause of the fire
According to police, no one was injured in the fire. The exact cause is currently still completely unclear. Research into this is ongoing. The damage caused cannot yet be quantified.

The professional and company fire brigade of Innsbruck Airport and the voluntary fire brigade of Vill, Wilten, Igls, Lans, Patsch and Steinach were present. Several rescuers and five police patrols were also on the scene.
