A little boy in the St. Georgen district of Eisenstadt narrowly escaped with his life. He’s already home.
A five-year-old from St. Georgen must have had an army of guardian angels. Because what happened to the boy could have turned out very differently. But first things first. The child probably choked while eating and couldn’t breathe. The family then called the rescue service. The coordinator of the state security center not only sent a paramedic team, but also the emergency physician car (NEF) from Eisenstadt.
Helicopter requested due to danger to life
When the helpers from Eisenstadt arrived at their brave little patient, the emergency doctor realized the seriousness of the situation: acute danger to life! The doctor started with first aid and also asked for the ÖAMTC emergency medical helicopter Christophorus 3 from Wiener Neustadt (Lower Austria). After the young man from Burgenland was stabilized by the two emergency doctors, the air rescue team flew him to a hospital in Vienna, where further treatment took place.
Thanks to the rapid initial therapy, the young man from Burgenland was able to leave the clinic in Vienna after just one day. The boy is already back in kindergarten.
