A serious accident occurred on Saturday evening: an unknown motorist hit a pedestrian in Obertrumer Landesstraße and then committed an escape. The young woman succumbed to her injuries. At around 12:45 p.m., the 19-year-old was on the L101 near the northern entrance to Mattsee village when a motorist hit the young woman. Instead of providing first aid, the stranger fled to Upper Austria. A witness immediately alerted the emergency services. Another driver started CPR, which the Red Cross took over after arrival. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, the 19-year-old died on the spot.
According to the police, an expert was able to link a silver BMW registered in 2012 to the accident. According to the first information, the right wing mirror is probably missing.
