Without a driver’s license and with 2.6 promille alcohol, a 55-year-old man took off on Monday after causing an accident at the Muttersbergbahn valley station in Bludenz (Vorarlberg). But he didn’t get far. The passenger of the damaged car followed him to his home address.
A retired couple wanted to drive to the car park at the Muttersberg valley station around 10:15 am and lined up in front of the lockers for the site. The driver of the car stopped in front of them, suddenly put the car in reverse and reversed.
Just fled home on foot
He collided head-on with the 82-year-old pensioner’s car. The 55-year-old who caused the accident did not come to the couple to record the accident, but immediately fled on foot towards Bludenz. But he had not expected the 82-year-old’s wife. He followed the fugitive to his home address, where the police could arrest him.
It turned out that the 55-year-old did not have a valid driver’s license. To make matters worse, the alcohol test that was performed on him also showed a blood alcohol level of 2.6 promille. For the man, the accident should now have a bitter aftermath.
