The 36-year-old cyclist from Seewalchen steered his racing bike around 11 a.m. in the municipality of Steinbach am Attersee on the B 153, towards Weißenbach. When the 36-year-old braked on his racing bike, a racing cyclist who also took part in the cycling race hit the 36-year-old’s rear tire with her front tire.
Both fell
Both cyclists fell, the 36-year-old remained seriously injured on the ground. The initially unknown cyclist got up and continued the race without taking care of the seriously injured man. After first aid, the injured person was flown by rescue helicopter to the hospital in Vöcklabruck.
