Excessive demands and an economic emergency led the young woman from South Korea to kill her two newborns.
Barely slept, one of the children always needed something from their mother, and extra financial burdens – that’s how the woman in her thirties describes her situation to the Korean police. In addition to the children aged twelve, ten and eight, the South Korean had two more babies.
But she saw no way to take care of the offspring and killed the newborns. To prevent her husband from finding out about the murders, she had been freezing the bodies in her freezer since 2018 and 2019 respectively.
Woman talked about abortion
Her husband told officials he was unaware of the tragedy. The mother of five told him she was aborting the babies. When he heard about the murders, the Korean was shocked.
The case came to light when the state’s Investigation and Inspection Commission found that the babies’ births had never been officially registered, although there was a birth certificate at the hospital. The young woman is trapped.
