Clever flea market in Vienna-Hernals! Because it featured shoes kidnapped by clever little vixens.
“We don’t have geese, so the little foxes snatched our shoes, slippers, flip flops and other loot,” laugh residents of Steinmüllergasse in Hernals. In fact – as reported – not a night goes by where the Reinekes masters don’t sneak back into the darkness wearing all sorts of strange shoes.
And so there were soon a dozen men’s and women’s shoes nearby.
“Victims Fight Back”
Since many of them could not find their way back to their owners, even though they were bagged and hung on the fences, a flea market took place on Saturday at the Alszeilemarkt on Leopold-Kunschak-Platz. Some of those who were robbed even recovered their shoes.
