The emergency services on the Innkreisautobahn near Wels went to extremes on Wednesday. Large-scale operation in a tourist bus rollover that ended in a mobile home. And there was a death in the backwaters and another accident nearby. And in the Innviertel there was another serious accident.
The police must first determine the exact course of events, but at the moment it looks like this: at the last moment, the driver of a van carrying nine Bosnians and Croats on the Innkreisautobahn at the Wels junction changed direction and crashed into the shock absorber at the exit to the A25. The result was fatal: the bus took off, rolled over and crashed into a mobile home.
All nine adult bus occupants traveling from Germany to the Balkans were injured, some seriously. Eight Red Cross cars, two emergency doctors and two helicopters distributed the victims among five hospitals. According to their own words, the two occupants of the mobile home were unharmed.
Heart attack in traffic
In the more than ten kilometers long traffic jam, the next mission came: a Croat suffered a heart attack while waiting in the car at Meggenhofen. The resuscitation on site was unsuccessful, the 56-year-old died on the spot. And in a tunnel there was another collision in which “only” one person was slightly injured.

On Wednesday evening there was another accident with a tragic outcome. According to initial information, a lorry and a car collided in Tumeltsham. One person was fatally injured and one victim was taken to hospital by the Red Cross.
