A spectacular chase followed on the southern motorway in Carinthia on Wednesday evening. Two teenagers stole two mopeds and raced them down the highway. A police patrol was able to stop the duo.
Two young people (13, 14) threatened to kill two other young people (15, 16) in Wolfsberg on Wednesday evening. The two youths then stole their victims’ mopeds.
With the stolen vehicles, the young people then made their way to the southern motorway. Only when several callers reported to the police that two mopeds were driving on the highway did the police give chase to the young people.
Eventually, the duo was stopped and arrested. After the interrogation, the 14-year-old was taken to Klagenfurt prison. “As soon as further investigations are completed, the necessary notifications and reports will be made,” the police said.
