There was another incident in Tyrol on an alpine pasture with a cow. On Thursday morning at the beginning of the Jamtal in the Eck-Alpe area, a cow, a 47-year-old hiker from Germany, fell to the ground.
Shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday, two German tourists (aged 47 and 77) and an 83-year-old German walked in Galtür on the paved path towards Jamtal. They also pay attention to the warning signs regarding “pasture area”.
Cow attacked woman with horns
In the Eck-Alpe area, a herd of cows stood to the right of the path in the direction of the hikers. After the holidaymakers had passed the cows, an animal approached the 47-year-old more and more quickly. The holidaymakers then moved towards the next grazing schedule, but the cow kept getting closer.
When the 47-year-old turned around, the animal hit the woman’s chest and ribs with its head and horns, causing the German to fall. The animal then left the holidaymaker.
Companions led the woman to safety
The two other walkers brought the seriously injured woman over the adjacent grate, the emergency helicopter flew the victim to Zams hospital.
