After intensive investigation into the fire on June 27, 2023 at 10:20 p.m. in a carpentry workshop in Taufkirchen an der Trattnach, after evaluation of all surveillance cameras and questioning of witnesses and informants, it has been clearly established that the fire was started by arson in the part of the wood storage. Witnesses saw the perpetrator driving to the company in the dark. He then set fire to a pile of wood with a flammable liquid.
The unknown person fled the company premises with the vehicle after the crime. Although the fire brigade was immediately alerted by the witnesses, the production hall could not be saved from destruction by the fire. There was damage in the millions. Detectives from the National Criminal Investigation Department are asking for information from the public.
