fear of heights? No! “I think I had to be 90 to do something like that,” beamed Paula Pockstaller from bottom to top. For the first time in her long life, the 90-year-old recently had the chance to take off in the basket of the “Achensee balloon”.
Her dream came true as part of the “Annual Wish” campaign of the SeneCura social center in Annakirchl, where the seniors live, and the tourist association.
Friend “Schorsch” (92) was on board
Paula’s friend “Schorsch”, whom she met at the “Haus am Annakirchl” and who accompanied her on the balloon ride, was just as enthusiastic and prophesied with a wink that the cheerful lady “will certainly go on such an adventure again” to her gone 95th birthday. .
For the native Prutzerin, who once moved to Achenkirch for love, the balloon flight was a “unique experience”, but it could certainly be continued.

Balloonist Andy Nairz and his team were also very excited: “It wasn’t the technology or the weather that made this flight special, it was the passengers, actually one of them, that made this balloon flight something very special,” says Nairz.
TVB boss Martin Tschoner added: “What could be better than fulfilling an old lady’s wish by letting her experience the beautiful Achensee region from a bird’s eye view.”
