Four baby kittens were found in Vienna’s Floridsdorfer Park on Sunday. The one- to two-day-old kittens were taken to the Vösendorf animal shelter by passers-by.
The Floridsdorfer Park is located in the immediate vicinity of the Danube Island Festival. Visitors to the event discovered the four little babies by chance. The finders keep an eye on the four-legged friends for two hours to see if the mother cat returns.
Passers-by saved the lives of baby cats
When this was not the case, the baby cats were taken to Tierschutz Austria and their lives saved. The cats there were estimated to be one to two days old. Tim, Tom, Theo and Thea, as the little ones are now called, currently weigh less than 100 grams. Yet they are doing well and are now fed up.
Babies are nursed back to health
For this, the kittens must be bottle-fed every two hours. Together they drink 180 ml per day, which corresponds to 9 bottles. In addition, they need fennel tea and SAB drops against flatulence and moist wipes for care during the first few weeks.
