Shots in Baltimore – police assume at least two gunmen

Date:

After the shooting in Baltimore, Maryland, last weekend, police believe there were at least two gunmen. Several weapons had already been found, Commissioner Richard Worley said Monday. The shooting killed two people and injured 28 others.

Investigators will continue their search for the suspects on Monday. Those responsible in the city of Baltimore on the east coast of the US called on the population to report information about possible perpetrators. Police are currently assuming at least two shooters.

Several hundred people were reportedly gathered for a celebration in a Brooklyn Homes neighborhood when gunfire rang out just after midnight on Sunday. An 18-year-old and a 20-year-old were killed. 28 other people were injured. Many (15) of them are between 13 and 17 years old. The questioning of the victims has not yet been completed, Worley said. The video material has also not yet been fully evaluated.

Motive so far unclear
The motive for the bloody deed is still unclear. There are more guns in the United States than residents. More than 44,300 people were killed in gun attacks last year, according to the non-governmental organization Gun Violence Archive. This number is higher in no other industrialized country.
