On Monday morning, a 45-year-old woman from Klagenfurt was driving on the S37 towards St. Veit an der Glan (Carinthia). The woman wanted to leave this at exit St. Veit/Süd. However, because she missed the exit, she stopped her car in the one-lane construction site shortly afterwards and caused a major accident.
A 49-year-old driver driving behind her was able to brake in time, but the truck driving behind the two could no longer react as quickly and swerved left into the oncoming traffic area and collided head-on with an oncoming car. The 57-year-old driver of this car was injured to an unknown extent and was immediately taken to the Klagenfurt clinic, all other persons involved in the accident were unharmed.
Significant damage was caused to the vehicles.
