After a teenager’s spectacular escape attempt on Tuesday in Vienna-Währing, in which the 17-year-old broke several bones, the Viennese police announced on Wednesday what the boy had hidden in his apartment. The suspect has since been transferred to a prison.
There were scenes like in a Hollywood movie that took place in Gentzgasse on Tuesday. Because agents of the Viennese police suddenly showed up at the door of the 17-year-old because of drug possession and wanted to search the house, the boy quickly fled and climbed out of the window. However, with a bitter end: stubborn police officers followed the suspect, after which the young man only managed to jump into the depths. He was seriously injured in the process.
The teenager was probably a drug dealer
While the emergency services attended to the injured boy, the officers found what they were looking for in the apartment: 331 grams of heroin, 14 grams of cocaine and 550 euros in cash were seized.
The suspect was taken to hospital after the accident due to his serious injuries, but is now in prison. Footage from a “Krone” reader reporter shows the tragic escape attempt.
