That just ended well. In Gosau, Upper Austria, a three-year-old boy went down unnoticed in the swimming pool. But his grandfather instinctively looked and saw the already unconscious child. Mother rushed to the rescue.
Shock for a family in Gosau on Wednesday afternoon: a three-year-old boy had ended up in the swimming pool – apparently the child had slipped off the swimming noodle. Fortunately, grandpa, standing by the lawnmower, soon discovered that the grandson had disappeared. He raised the alarm and the boy’s mother jumped into the pool and pulled her unconscious son out while a visiting friend called for emergency services.
“Fortunately, the adults were very close. As a result, the child was only under water for a very short time,” the emergency services are happy that the accident has ended slightly.
Two girls – the boy’s sister and the visitor’s daughter – were outside the pool at the time of the accident, one was playing in the trampoline. When the ambulance helicopter and the police arrived, the boy was able to speak again, but was taken to the hospital in Salzburg just to be on the safe side. The little boy was so fit again that he insisted his mother come along – he wouldn’t fly alone.
