A man handcuffed himself to the gates of Buckingham Palace in London on Thursday evening. When officers approached him, he threatened to harm himself, police said. The reasons why the man did this are still unclear.
“Police are trying to talk to the man and resolve the situation as quickly as possible to ensure his safety and well-being,” it sounds. Police initially said nothing about the man’s possible motives (see video below).
The man is said to be between 30 and 40 years old. Rescue workers are also on the scene, it said.
