A 16-year-old was robbed in Villach on Saturday night. The young man was threatened with death. The police have arrested a perpetrator.
Completely desperate and beside himself, the 16-year-old alerted the police around 3:30 am. He was attacked by two youths, threatened with a knife and beaten. “He stated that a knife was held to his neck because he owed 1,000 euros and eventually had to pay it off,” said a police officer.
Stripped down to his underpants
Before the two boys fled, they stole the victim’s mobile phone, 70 euros in cash, sweatpants and a hoodie. “He was stripped down to his underpants,” said police spokesman Mario Nemetz. A manhunt was launched and the two were caught.
During the investigation, the investigators were able to obtain two prohibited knives and brass knuckles. One of the perpetrators, a Hungarian living in Villach-Land, has been provisionally arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
