Due to a so far unknown cause, a fire broke out on Saturday night in a weekend house in Graz-Mariatrost. The house was uninhabited at the time, no people or animals were injured.
Around 04:00 the police received a message that a building on Sonnleitenweg was on fire. A local resident has reported the incident.
The professional fire brigade of Graz was quickly on the scene with four fire trucks and 27 people and started to extinguish the building, which was already completely on fire. The fire was extinguished around 8:30 p.m.
Cause of fire unclear
The cause of the fire is unclear and property damage is estimated at several hundred thousand euros.
