The Viennese police have dealt a blow to several groups of criminals in the Western Balkans: several kilograms of cocaine were seized as early as October and December 2022, the executive reported on Sunday.
In addition, the agents of the state criminal investigation department gave their colleagues in Hesse a “trigger”, who could then strike in a drug transfer. On October 11, after extensive investigation, a Croat (33) and a Bosnian (30) were caught with 6.6 kilos of coke.
Several suspects arrested
Both came to Austria just for the deal. Two Serbs, aged 34 and 37, were subsequently caught by the officials. On December 15 last year, a Kosovar (53), a North Macedonian (48) and two Dutchmen (46 and 49) were arrested with 4.3 kilos of drugs in the smuggled vehicle.
Ten days later, based on the information from Austria, five suspects from Germany, Poland and Angola were caught with ten kilos of cocaine in the vicinity of Kassel.
