A toddler in Vienna-Hernals was extremely lucky: the police were alerted because a three-year-old allegedly fell out of the window on the first floor. The child survived, was taken to a hospital and is not in a life-threatening condition. However, the mother was not at home when the incident happened!
The emergency services had to enter the apartment around 9:15 p.m. Apart from a sleeping toddler, there was no other person in the building. A short time later, the children’s mother, a 30-year-old Syrian, showed up.
According to the Viennese police, a report has been filed on suspicion of bodily injury due to negligence. “The child and youth care of the city of Vienna is aware of the incident,” the police said on Sunday.
