Anger was written all over the face of a “Krone” reader when he confronted a trolleybus driver in Salzburg on Saturday. How is that possible? The driver used his mobile phone while driving. And that despite a strict ban and the presence of several passengers. The neglected journey was filmed – the responsible Salzburg AG was informed.
It was just before 1 pm on Saturday when Alex K. was driving a trolleybus in the city of Salzburg and caught the public transport driver with his mobile phone (see video). He immediately pointed out to him that using a mobile phone while driving was an administrative offence. The driver’s reaction shocked the passenger: he grabbed him by the shoulder and escorted him out of the trolleybus.
The bus driver also showed his middle finger
“Don’t attack me! Otherwise I’ll call the police!” responded Alex K. However, the driver didn’t seem too interested in the warning, as the passenger said he got back into the vehicle and drove off. The only message the man allegedly left his passenger was a middle finger, which he gave to him stuck out.
This is also a very unfavorable situation for Salzburg AG, as the provincial capital has been desperately looking for several trolleybus drivers for a long time. In 2018, the company was already struggling with a staff shortage. Of course, this also has an effect on passengers with long waiting times.
