The trial against Florian Teichtmeister will start on September 5. It has been more than five months since the trial date fell through. The actor was recently spotted with friends, among others, at the Viennese noble Italian Fabios in the 1st district of Vienna. This caused great annoyance. Director Fabio Giacobello spoke to krone.tv presenter Tanja Pfaffeneder about the situation.
The charges against the 43-year-old actor, who allegedly hoarded numerous child porn abuse files, have been expanded. “There are now about 76,000 images,” said the Vienna Regional Criminal Court. Of these, about 47,000 would relate to images of underage minors, the rest to minors, ie young people between the ages of 14 and 18. But the ex-castle actor is not going to retire.
Rather, he was seen dining at Fabios or Schwarzen Kameel, upscale restaurants in Vienna’s 1st district. Many see this as a provocation and cannot understand that Florian Teichtmeister – the presumption of innocence applies – is being served.
After bad emails and allegations, the owner of the Fabio, Fabio Giacobello, has now responded: “The staff didn’t recognize him. He was never a regular customer, I’ve never seen him before. Personally I distance myself, I let him not inside!”
The government used the Teichtmeister case to tighten up penalties for acquiring, possessing, passing on or trading images of abuse by children and young people. However, this does not bother the actor, since criminal laws are banned retroactively.
If convicted, the 43-year-old faces up to three years in prison, plus accommodation in a forensic therapy center.
