On Wednesday around 8 p.m. there was a knife attack on Landstrasse in Vienna. An employee of a law firm was threatened with a knife by a client. The reason: he wanted his passport back.
The 35-year-old sat in the courtyard of the law firm, while the victim sat in the office above. There, the 19-year-old was quite shocked when the client suddenly pulled out a knife and threatened the employee with it.
The perpetrator injured himself with a knife
To reinforce his threat and get his passport back, the 35-year-old self-inflicted minor injuries to his arm. After a short escape, the perpetrator was arrested by the police. The blade was secured.
The employee was not injured. By order of the Vienna public prosecutor’s office, the man was set free.
