The fire brigade in the Amstetten district was ordered to carry out a spectacular operation: a truck rolled off the road in Aschbach (Lower Austria) on Sunday. The driver was trapped in the driver’s cabin and had to be freed by the fire brigade.
It was difficult to recover the vehicle: the refrigerated truck could be put on its wheels with the help of three cable winches and the vehicle was towed to a parking space with a crane truck. Almost 50 helpers were busy for several hours, the district fire command reports in a broadcast.
A liberation action was also necessary. The driver was locked in the driver’s cab. The man was injured in the accident and was taken to hospital by the Red Cross. It is not yet known how the accident happened.
