Gerhard (46) has a brain tumor, his time on earth is extremely limited. It was his wish to go to the Traunsee again with the whole family. The “Rolling Angels” fulfilled this, everyone could say goodbye there in peace.
When the “Rolling Angels” wish-fulfillers picked up the family man at Kepler University Hospital, he was already very excited. Next to his sick bed are numerous pictures of his family – his wife, son and little daughter (2). His wish: Together again with the whole family at Lake Traunsee. Barbecue, chat – and say goodbye.
Forget the pain for a moment
When the wish-fulfillers arrived at the Bräuwiese buffet in Traunkirchen, about 50 family members were already waiting for Gerhard, who welcomed him with applause. He talked to former colleagues and relatives, his wife, his mother and their two children were always by his side. For a moment he forgot his pain, smiled in all the pictures.
Time to say goodbye
Then Gerhard wanted to enjoy the Traunstein and the Traunsee for himself and his family and was carried by the “Rolling Angels” on a stretcher on a specially fenced footbridge very close to the water. The relatives came to him individually and were able to say goodbye.
Finally, two-year-old Luisa was taken to her father by her mother: “Would you like to give daddy a kiss?” mom asked. The little one snuggled up to her father, gave him a kiss and waved at him again.
