Two children and a woman who were in the car on Thursday were very lucky when the driver suffered a medical emergency on the B70 in Voitsberg. The driver who crashed into the parked car was miraculously unharmed.
Dramatic scenes took place on the B70 ring road on Thursday morning when a motorist suddenly suffered a medical emergency while driving and his car came to a stop on the side of the road. A woman and two children were in the car at the time, fortunately unharmed. Only the woman sustained minor injuries as a result of the abrupt stop.
Driver slammed into parked car
However, the situation deteriorated again when another motorist collided with the parked vehicle. Miraculously, she escaped unharmed.
Driver regained consciousness
Shortly after the accident, the emergency services arrived on the scene and immediately started providing first aid, while a Red Cross crisis intervention team cared for the children. The driver of the car regained consciousness after receiving medical attention and was taken to hospital for further treatment. The passenger was also taken to hospital.
