A fire brigade operation took place early on Wednesday afternoon in the Lungau van Salzburg. There, about thirty emergency services had to build an oil barrier in the Taurach, because heating oil had previously escaped for an unknown cause.
In the early Wednesday afternoon there was a larger exit in the Mariapfarr area in the Salzburg Lungau. For a previously unknown cause, an unadorned amount of heating oil came in a surface channel and then in the Taurach.
The Brigades Mariapfarr and Tamsweg are currently in use with a Dangerous Fabric Vehicle (GSF). To prevent further distribution, two oil barriers were built and the affected channel was temporarily closed. Moreover, a special company was consulted to suck the polluted water.
