An embarrassing breakdown happened to the ORF on Thursday afternoon: In a press release about the “Summer Talks 2023” with the local party leaders, the broadcaster announced a meeting with Pamela Rendi-Wagner for August 28, who resigned as SPÖ party leader in May.
Specifically, the first version of the ORF broadcast (pictured above) from 12:37 p.m. said:
The other “Summer Talks 2023” schedule, each at 9:05 PM on ORF 2
August 21: Herbert Kickl, FPÖ
August 28: Pamela Rendi-WagnerSPÖ
September 4: Karl Nehammer, ÖVP
The correction followed half an hour later and the correct timetable for the “summer talks” read “August 28: Andreas Babler, SPÖ”, who will not only go on a summer tour of Austria to win red hearts.
However, Babler and Burgenland’s mayor, Hans Peter Doskosil, disagree when it comes to joint performances on the SPÖ comeback tour in Burgenland. Although Babler is convinced of cooperation, he was rejected by Burgenland’s red comrades on Thursday.
