Heavily drunk, a 22-year-old from Graz wanted to drive to Weiz (Styria) on Saturday evening: In Weinitzen, however, there was a collision with an oncoming car and the car of the young Grazer ended up on the roof. The second driver fled.
In the Annagraben on the border between Graz and Weinitzen, the 22-year-old and the still unknown driver met around 10:45 p.m. The wing mirrors of the two cars touched on a left turn. The 22-year-old was shocked and sent his car into an embankment. The car flipped over and landed on its roof.
Driver’s license removed
The man from Graz managed to free himself from the vehicle and made an emergency call. According to the Red Cross, he may have escaped with minor injuries, but his driver’s license was taken away because he was heavily intoxicated. The car is a wreck. The Weinitzen-Oberschöckl fire brigade took care of the clean-up work.
Parts of the wing mirror found
The second driver should have driven towards Graz without stopping. Police officers are taking care of parts of the broken side mirror at the scene of the accident, now the driver must be examined.
