In 1904, U.S. clerk Ernest Coulter organized a “big brother” for young offenders to guide them through life. In doing so, he laid the foundation for the non-profit organization “Big Brothers Big Sisters”, which also gained a foothold in Austria in 2012 and has been offering one-on-one mentoring ever since.
