The company plans to double US orders for generators for the wind industry next year.
The President of the United States Joe Biden visited the Basque company’s plant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin teamed upwhere the Bizkaia-based company produces generators for the wind sector, inverters for solar energy and energy storage and chargers for electric vehicles.
Biden’s visit is part of the US president’s tour to this state of the country to see firsthand progress related to the first anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA Act), which introduced Wisconsin reaches more employment and investments in clean energy.
In this context, Ingeteam recalled that the company is promoting production in Milwaukee, aiming to “de strong demand for electric vehicle chargers announced by the Biden administration”.
President Biden got to know the Ingeteam factory firsthand, where he was received by Ingeteam’s director of business development, Alex Belausteguiby the CEO of Ingeteam, davis sole and by the director of Ingeteam in the US, Mark Obradovich.
The company has been producing since the opening of the Ingeteam factory in Milwaukee more than 4000 generators for the wind sector and delivered 2.5 GW of solar inverters and energy storage for the US market.
US orders for generators for the wind sector to Ingeteam are expected to follow double next year thanks to the incentives of the Inflation Reduction Act, which President Biden signed into law a year ago.
