November 2, 2020 – an unusually mild evening, Vienna’s city center is full. There is shooting. A man with a rapid-fire gun shoots around. Four people die, and the killer is also shot. It was a jihadist terrorist attack. For a long time, KF was considered a lone offender – now six more men will face trial in Vienna.
The prosecutor’s office accuses them of “facilitating, facilitating, securing or otherwise promoting” this attack, citing the “Standard” of the indictment – which has not yet been served on the lawyers. An experienced juvenile judge will lead the trial.
Who are these six, five of whom are in custody? Two of them visited the killer in his apartment shortly before the attack. They would have obtained the weapon and the ammunition in Slovakia with KF. Another would have been responsible for the planning and also explained to him how to use the rapid firearm. The next helped choose the destination, the sixth would have been co-organizer.
The start of the process has not yet been determined.
