A seven-year-old boy from the Rohrbach district cycled – unsupervised and without a helmet – through a sloping street on Wednesday. He collided with a car coming from the right. The child had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.
The seven-year-old used his school holidays to cycle on Wednesdays. The trip ended abruptly in the hospital.
No adults present
The boy drove without a helmet on a sloping connecting road in the Mühlviertel. He was alone and had no adults with him. The accident happened at an intersection: the child collided with a car coming from the right and going straight ahead. Behind the wheel was a 63-year-old from the Rohrbach district.
Bub was approachable
Fortunately, the unprotected boy was approachable after the accident, but had to be treated by the emergency doctor. The rescue helicopter “Christophorus 10” took him to the hospital in Linz.
