Wild chase – Motorcyclist fled on bike paths and sidewalks

Without a driver’s license and reportedly drunk, a 57-year-old local motorcyclist refused to be stopped by police in Innsbruck on Monday evening. During his flight he endangered many people.

The 57-year-old was spotted around 5:30 p.m. for a traffic violation, after which a police patrol tried to arrest the man. Of course he didn’t want that and fled from the Sillufer towards the city center and further towards Bergisel.

He was relentless on the road, using sidewalks and bike paths to escape, ignoring red lights and taking shortcuts through courtyards. He endangered pedestrians and other road users.

Multiple police patrols behind it
Several police patrols followed the furious man in the truest sense of the word, but he was finally stopped after about ten minutes. He was found not to have a valid driver’s license and also refused an alcohol test.

Fortunately no injuries
Fortunately, no one was hurt on the crazy ride and the 57-year-old is now facing a number of ads.
