Less than two hours after the missing person was reported, a 91-year-old local resident was found in a dried up stream bed in Ehenbichl in the Ausserfern on Friday. The man was taken to Reutte Hospital with serious injuries.
On Friday around 9.30 am, relatives of the man reported to the Reutte police that the 91-year-old was missing. A search was immediately launched with several police patrols, the Reutte Mountain Rescue Service including search dogs and the police service dog patrol.
At around 11:15 a.m., the man was discovered following a mobile phone in Ehenbichl in the Obermahd area under a path in a dried up creek bed. Search dog Loki of the dog unit of the mountain rescue service in the Reutte district successfully put his nose in the game with dog handler Patrick Graessle.
The man was rescued and taken to Reutte Hospital with serious injuries. He had fallen off a path over a slope into the creek bed for unknown reasons.
