Full blackout! A 22-year-old may have recently been the victim of a cowardly drug attack in Graz. Fortunately, she came off lightly and warned others via social media. After that, other victims came forward. Caution is advised: Knockout drops can only be detected for a short time and the culprits are difficult to find.
Karin (name changed) sauntered through the crowd with a beer at a silent disco in Graz City Park. Along the way, she chatted with friends and sipped her drink over and over. “Suddenly it went black!” Karin’s memory doesn’t come back until the next day: “I had a terrible headache and felt nauseous and dizzy.” For three days she was plagued by napa pain.
What happened? Two beers we brought and another at the bar, then a switch was turned on the 22-year-old. Her friends reconstructed the evening: wild dancing, extreme euphoria. After that, it quickly went downhill: “I kept throwing up.” Her friends brought her home: “I don’t want to know what would have happened without her.” She is sure that her knockout drops were mixed into the drink.
After the call, other victims came forward
And she may not have been the only one that night. The woman from Graz called for caution on Instagram’s “kf-memes-” page, another affected person reported: “I woke up in the emergency room because I passed out.” She also drank little, after that it was black. In the university district of Graz and at the Spritzer stand, two other people are said to have been arrested a week ago.
Club owners and police are surprisedt
The Graz clubs have not noticed anything so far. “We had a case two weeks ago,” said Philipp Nusshold of Kottulinsky. No one has contacted mausefalle operator Martin Fritz. Even in the Parkhouse itself, where drinks were served in the Silent Disco, people are amazed: “We wouldn’t have noticed.” The police also registered no abnormalities. According to spokesman Markus Lamb, it is difficult to say whether drugs were really mixed in: “The funds can only be traced for a short time.”
