The Vienna State Police has succeeded in arresting two Georgian men, aged 34 and 40. They are suspected of committing a total of 33 burglaries in the period from mid-June to the end of July
The two allegedly stole valuables with a total value of an amount in the lower 6-digit euro range. The two arrested escaped the police after a burglary on July 26, 2022 in Vienna-Josefstadt.
Caught in action
The next day, however, they were caught red-handed by officers during a break-in in Vienna-Hernals and subsequently arrested. Screwdrivers and adjustable wrenches and stolen goods were seized. During a subsequent search of the house, the investigators found more stolen items.
Using the objects and the burglary tools, which could be assigned to some tracks, the two were found to have committed a total of 33 burglaries. The suspect confessed in part. After the interrogation, they were taken to prison.
