A five-year-old boy died after falling from a high-rise building in Berlin-Friedrichsfelde. The child fell from the ninth floor on Tuesday afternoon, a police spokesman said.

Mother receives pastoral support
There is a suspicion that the duty of supervision has been violated, a police spokeswoman told RBB. A spokesperson for the fire department said efforts are still being made to resuscitate the boy. An eyewitness and a caregiver and the child’s mother had received pastoral support, the spokesman said when asked by the dpa.
