Suddenly she was gone: On Sunday, an 87-year-old resident disappeared from her nursing home in the Braunau district (Upper Austria). A major search was launched in the evenings: police helicopters, the Red Cross sniffer dog squad and two fire brigades were deployed with a total of 45 men.
Search campaign instead of coffee in the afternoon: The elderly resident left her nursing home unnoticed around 3 p.m. on Sunday. At around 5:20 p.m., a nurse reported the missing person to the police. After four patrols and a service dog patrol failed to yield results, the emergency services launched a major search.
