A tragic motorcycle accident took place early Monday evening in the municipality of Lingenau (Vorarlberg) in the Bregenzerwald. A 22-year-old Austrian and a 62-year-old German were seriously injured.
At around 6:10 p.m., the 22-year-old turned into a long right turn on his way to the center of Lingenau. For reasons unknown, he ended up on the oncoming car and collided with full force head-on with the motorcycle of the approaching German. The 22-year-old was thrown about 15 meters into a meadow, where he was seriously injured. The 62-year-old fell to the asphalt and also suffered serious injuries.

After first aid by the emergency medical team, the two victims of the accident were flown to hospital with the rescue helicopters “Christophorus 8” and “Christoph 45” – the German is currently being treated at the hospital in Ravensburg (D), the Austrian in the LKH Feldkirch.
During the rescue operation and the recovery work, the L205 was closed to all traffic. The two bikes fall into the ‘total loss’ category.
