Terrible accident late Monday afternoon in Kramsach in the Tyrolean district of Kufstein: a German mountain biker was hit by a car and thrown onto the road. The 58-year-old was seriously injured. The driver of the car may have been blinded by the sun.
According to the police, the serious accident happened around 5.45 p.m. The 58-year-old German traveled east on his mountain bike on the L211 Unterinntalstraße from Kramsach. At the same time, a young Dutchman (22) drove his car in the opposite direction.
Cyclists were injured on the road
“When the 22-year-old wanted to turn left, a collision occurred,” the researchers said. The driver of the car probably overlooked the cyclist because of the blinding sun. The force of the blow threw him into the street, where he lay wounded.
After first aid at the scene of the accident, the German was taken by ambulance to the Kufstein district hospital.
